Lanzhou is the capital and largest city of Gansu Province in northwestern China, situated along the upper reaches of the Yellow River.
It established a formal Sister City relationship with Kathmandu Metropolitan City in February 2012 to promote trade, cultural exchanges, urban management cooperation, and tourism.
