Ward No. 22
If the Dharahara tower, Sundhara water spouts and Sankata and Ranamukteswar temples highlight Ward No. 22's historic, cultural and sacred assets, the flashy business district of New Road accentuates its commercial and financial aspect. The kingdom's oldest bank, Nepal Bank Ltd., is also headquartered here.
Ward No. 22 is bordered by Kanti Path in the east; Dharma Path, Purano Bhansar and Yangal in the west; New Road in the north; and Ward Nos. 11 and 21 in the south. It has an area of 18.8 hectares. There were 1,009 households and a population of 5,840 in the ward in 2001.
